Pennsylvania State University is more commonly known as Penn State. The university is public, and the main campus (University Park) is widely regarded as being in the top 20 and a public Ivy League. There are 24 campuses in total, and these are spread throughout the state.
Penn State is the place to go if you love sports. Many of the students are big on sports and there are plenty of facilities to accommodate a wide range of teams and sports. If you are looking for a place where you can keep up your sports (possibly on scholarship) then this is the place for you. They also have the famous Penn State mascot, Nittany Lion.
If you are a budding politician, activist or love your hobby, then Penn State has a wide range of clubs and societies that you may be interested in joining, in fact almost 670. There is everything from a Glee Club to a Student Government.
There are many famous alumni including scientist George Cressman and screenwriter Steven DeSouza.
If you wish to study at Penn State you might want to be wary of the high tuition fees, though what you get in return will almost definitely be worth the money.
There are a wide range of colleges with the main campus; many are famous both nationally and internationally, for example the Smeal College of Business and the college of Arts and Architecture.
Hey!
I graduated from Penn State last year, and I would advise people to seriously consider it.
Nice site by the way, I just found it.
