New York University (NYU) is located in one of the most amazing cities in the world. The main campus is in the heart of Greenwich Village. NYU is a private university; in fact it is the largest non-profit private university in America.

There are 16 schools within the university and the university has centers all across the world, from London to Tel Aviv. The facilities provided for students are excellent. The Elmer Holmes Bobst Library is one of the biggest academic libraries in the world.

The university is ranked well internationally achieving a top 50 ranking by The Times. The students come from a variety of backgrounds, with over 100 nationalities and more than 65% of students from public schools.

If you’re into sports then NYU should be able to accommodate what you’re after. The famous “Bobcat” mascot is recognized country wide. There is a wide variety of teams and sports for you to get involved in.

Famous alumni from NYU include 31 Nobel Prize winners. Notable alumni include Edouard de Rothschild and Steve Holt.
