While not the best way to revise for a test, an unfortunate part of student life is cramming for tests. If you don’t have much time, you need to focus on quick results and learning the key facts.
The firs t step is to not panic. You may have an important test, but for the information to go in, your brain needs to be relaxed. Take some time to clear the area around you and get yourself ready. Make sure you have eaten and remember to drink lots of water and revise in 20 minute bursts.
Write out all the key points of the topic and some key facts surrounding them (say 5). Hold the first key point and recite the key facts surrounding that over and over.
If you have a particular method of learning, use it. For example kinesthetic learners (movement) could go for a run while repeating all the key facts.
The most important thing to remember is not to try and stay up all night to revise. It is better to be well rested and remember the key facts than be tired and not remember any.
